EMDR Intensives are concentrated and extended sessions of EMDR therapy. Instead of the traditional weekly sessions, EMDR Intensives involve longer, uninterrupted blocks of time, often spanning multiple days. This format aims to accelerate the therapeutic process and address issues more comprehensively. It can be particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with trauma or other challenging mental health issues. EMDR Intensives can also help with Performance Enhancement for Athletes, Artists, Business Executives and First Responders. Our EMDR Intensive programs are developed based on each clients individual needs. The Intensive schedule allows for breaks during the day and opportunities for self-care.
EMDR Intensives Can Help with the Following:
- Recent Traumatic Event (within days or months to avoid experiencing PTSD)
- Traumatic car accident, fire or natural disaster
- Victim of a crime (including sexual assaults)

EMDR Intensive Information:
Here are the steps that we take to support you in your EMDR Intensive.
1. Free Consultation (20 min) – This is a time to meet your therapist, discuss your request for an EMDR Intensive, review the issues that bring you to therapy, and hear how your therapist and EMDR can be help for you and discuss our EMDR Intensives including program and fees.
2. Pre Intensive Session (90 min) – This initial session allows your therapist to gain more information about your presenting issues, learn about your history with the issue, begin the preparation phase of EMDR called resourcing and develop a beginning target sequence plan. This is the time that your EMDR Intensive is developed to meet your unique needs and scheduled.
3. EMDR Intensive Workbook – You will receive a EMDR Intensive Workbook to assist you with your Intensive and guide you through the process letting you know what to expect and how to prepare. Your therapist will go over this workbook with you and answer any questions that you might have.
4. EMDR Intensive (1-3 days) – Individually designed EMDR Intensives are scheduled for 1-3 days. A fee is collected at the time of scheduling. This includes 50% of your total EMDR Intensive is charged at this time. This is a non-refundable fee. The remainder of your fee is charged on the first day of your intensive. EMDR Intensives are offered in person or virtually. Due to the extended session time insurance will not cover the full costs of a EMDR Intensives.
5. Post Intensive Session (50 min)– A time to debrief your EMDR Intensive, reflect on areas of insights, strengthen gains and discuss treatment recommendations from your therapist. This is scheduled 1 week after your EMDR Intensive.

- Includes 4 hrs of EMDR +1 hr for lunch and breaks

2 Day Program- $3,750
- 10 hour EMDR Intensive
- Includes 8 hours of EMDR +2 hrs for lunch and breaks
- Assessment & EMDR Intensive Workbook
- Includes Pre Intensive Session (90 min) & Post Intensive Session (50 min)
3 Day Program- $5,625
- 15 hour EMDR Intensive
- Includes 12 hours of EMDR + 3 hrs for lunch and breaks
- Assessment & EMDR Intensive Workbook
- Includes Pre Intensive Session (90 min) & Post Intensive Session (50 min)
In addition to our EMDR Intensive programs we also offer Extended EMDR Therapy Sessions for clients. This means that there are times when some of our clients may benefit by longer weekly sessions (90-120 min) or may need to be seen more frequently (ex: 2 times weekly for a 50 min or 90 min session). Extended sessions can be helpful when clients are experiencing acute stress responses, crisis or just need a additional time to do their work.
Insurance will not cover the costs of EMDR Intensives or Extended EMDR Therapy sessions.
Please note that EMDR Intensive Therapy Sessions are not appropriate for everyone. A screening and assessment are required before scheduling Intensive sessions.
