Welcome — I’m Glad You’re Here
Hello! My name is Lemecia Lindsey (she/her)—pronounced La-me-sha. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, integrative trauma therapist, EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and LENS Neurofeedback provider. I am the owner of Vancouver EMDR Therapy in Vancouver, Washington.
I provide both in-person sessions for Washington residents and telehealth counseling for adults in Washington and Oregon. My practice focuses on providing trauma-informed therapy including: EMDR, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed EMDR, nervous system regulation, and Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS).
My Mission & Approach
For more than 25 years, I have helped people recover from traumatic life events, heal past wounds, and build stronger, more loving relationships—including the relationship they have with themselves.
I support adults who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or weighed down, helping them reconnect with themselves, find safety, and regain a sense of ease in their lives. I help them to:
-
Feel safe again
-
Sleep without nightmares
-
Reduce anxiety, depression, or PTSD symptoms
-
Reconnect with their sense of self and inner strength
I combine the latest advancements in neuroscience, trauma treatment, and innovative therapeutic techniques. As an integrative trauma therapist, I focus on addressing the root causes of your challenges—not just the symptoms. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and personalized, creating a safe space to share your story, explore your goals, and develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.
Rather than teaching clients to “cope” with their symptoms,
I help them to heal.
Therapeutic Approaches I Use
Many people struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, or PTSD experience nervous system dysregulation, which requires more than talk therapy alone. I combine mind-body approaches to provide deep, lasting healing, including:
-
EMDR Therapy — to process traumatic memories and reduce emotional reactivity
-
IFS-Informed EMDR / Parts Work — to understand and support the parts of yourself carrying pain or fear
-
Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) — to release trauma stored in the nervous system
-
LENS Neurofeedback — to enhance brain function, emotional regulation, and resilience
This integrated approach helps clients stabilize faster, engage fully in therapy, and sustain long-term improvements. My goal is to provide hope, healing, and life transformation.
Who I Work With
I support adults on their healing journey using a trauma-informed, compassionate approach. I welcome clients of all: sexual orientations and gender identities, cultural, religious, and family backgrounds and neurotypes. I provide affirming, individualized care that helps you feel safe, understood, and empowered.
Why I Became a Therapist
I, too, have been in therapy. My experience in my early 20s was life-changing and inspired me to become a therapist. I bring deep gratitude and respect for each client and feel honored to hold space for personal growth and transformation.
About Me
Outside of work, I enjoy: quiet mornings with a cup of coffee, time outdoors and nature walks, reading or watching Netflix, mindfulness and compassionate practices.
My greatest joy comes from being with my husband, our dog Hanna, our four adult children, and three granddaughters. These moments of connection inspire my work and remind me of the importance of balance, play and self-care.

I too have stepped into the door of a counseling office. My own therapy experience in my early 20’s is what lead me to want to be a therapist myself. It was a supportive and life changing experience for me and inspired me to help others. I have a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation for the clients that I work with. I am honored to be able to “hold space” for them and witness their personal healing and life transformation.
